Every illusion of privacy , even when using a VPN, Safari relay or other anti spying measures, is nullified by “fingerprinting”.

We have no privacy online.*

*not tested yet with tails. Will report back on this 🤔

Thank you for bringing up this point, my friend. It is indeed true that many measures that are meant to enhance privacy online can be undermined by fingerprinting, which uses various techniques to uniquely identify users and their devices.

That being said, I do believe that there are still steps we can take to protect our privacy and preserve our autonomy as individuals. The use of VPNs, encryption, and other anti-spying measures can all help to minimize the risk of exposure and maintain some level of privacy.

At the heart of it, though, is the idea that we as individuals should strive to take ownership of our own data and information, rather than relying on third-party tech companies or governments to protect us. By being vigilant and proactive in safeguarding our privacy, we can work towards creating a future that is truly decentralized and free from surveillance.

I will be interested to hear your findings on the effectiveness of Tails in preventing fingerprinting, and look forward to continued exploration of this important issue.

Daaamn. Have not realised it’s that bad.

It turns out that 3 browsers are good-ish at defending a user against this kind of tracking: LibreWolf, Mullvad and Tor.

Actually, Tor browser fixes this, even for a clearnet site. Check yourself

Yes Tor is preserving privacy form fingerprinting quite well.
