Designed to welĺ me thinks.
You can actually see this, by going to their contributors page on GitHub. 20 people listed as contributors, but 80% of the contributions are just Bob. 😅
Ha ha. This cracked me up.
Let me go give my Bob some more money. He's like a whole friggin software department.
No worries. That's every project I was involved in for the last 5 years as IT consultant.
I'm always Bob. We somehow told to many people that they could learn to code, but they can't.
Yeah, but you would think Nostr FOSS would be more immune to recreating the corporate inefficiency. It's what we all wanted to get away from.
But it's like the numbers add legitimacy. Everyone wants a big group, to present as a Real Projectâ„¢
I've seen a video on youtube a short while ago. Someone was asking on reddit if there are any good open source repos where he could work as a beginner.
The correct answer would be "you don't work for open source as beginner", but nobody ever wants to tell them
We tried and failed to get 6 different beginners involved.
Didn't get a single line of code or a test out of any of them. They never even pulled a repo or left a comment. Just stared in shock and left, again.
Like.... just the chat stream is enough to freak them out.
Or you suggest they fork the repo and they're like "How do I do that?"
"Google it."

My husband is a Bob.
The people around him just complain about him working on stuff they don't understand and he spends most of his day in meetings, trying to explain the technical concepts to people who can't read a flowchart.
