I know some of you don’t “get it” about pineapple on pizza. And when it’s pineapple and ham, I can understand.
But have you ever had a pizza with pulled pork, bacon, pineapple, and hot honey?
Gift from the heavens I’m telling you

Personally, I think it sounds good if you call it a pineapple and ham pie, because pizza is a specific Italian dish, not a culinary catch-all. But that’s a never-ending debate 🤷🏻♂️😄
That wouldn't work though, because a pie is a pastry base dish served with various filling and covered by another layer of pastry...try putting an extra pizza base on top of a pizza and all you get is a big doughy sandwich 🥪😆 I've seen an American refer to a pizza as a pie before but I put that down to poor education or something...I think it was Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool, in fact...

Yes and it was pretty awesome. It was just good pizza in general. So much meh and gross pizza in this world.
Sad but true
I suggest the "pizza" element is used as a socially safe launch pad/platform for one to disguise the fact that despite being shoulder deep within their own borderline, they're still not fulfilled.
Because, that ain't a pizza. And no amount of excess on whatever one wants to call that is ever going to make one whole.
The self-importance of the Western ideologues to take something and fuck it up - just so they can call it their own/conquer is starting to go after even the most humblest of items - like a modest pizza.

A very philosophical (if somewhat ideological) answer 😂
