It’s puzzling that there are people still worried about bitcoin regulation when Blackrock and Fidelity are already in.

These entities control the world. If they are in, you’re fine. Relax.

Ahaha, I’ve thought the same but not sure if it makes me feel better or worse 🫠

I think the bulk of the concern is around regulation that affects those who want to self-custody and use it as money, not those who buy into a Blackrock ETF. Blackrock may not necessarily care about the individual users, even if that is a large part of the value. Companies sometimes do dumb shit.

Thank god for geographical arbitrage

Administrations come and go. Bitcoin users grow. It’ll be super difficult to screw your entire population. And even if you do, the next administration will hopefully right the wrong.

I hope they can influence ending cap gains tax.

So tax as income only?

Elimination of income tax on a federal level would be ideal.. until then, at least no tax on spending btc, then remove taxes on converting btc to local fiat.

At the very least if you get paid in it you shouldn’t have to pay cap gains

Now that is the kind of separation of money and state I'm talking about.
