Tools can be used for a myriad of purposes and the wielder is responsible. A woman protecting herself with a firearm against a larger attacker is an example of technology as a power equalizer.

David picking up the tech that Goliath dropped and crafting a tool that frees David from Goliath is in the same way an equalization of power. Humanity can overcome the threat of the stomping of a central planning boot on the human face.
