Thanks, as one question gets answered more questions arise. There is no shortage of side quests in the bitcoin rabbit hole. If I’m understanding correctly, with a 2 of 3 setup, the stack uses one private key but the devices are being used for creation of the pub keys associated with that private key. If one of these distributed devices was lost, I could recover from private key, purchase another device and set the FROST back up. I’d imagine I’d need all the devices in my possession again to re-setup the frost multisig with DKG again?
This article is really good at explaining the details, but the gist of it is, with taproot/musig/frost you can aggregate the pubkeys and signatures (data that ends up on the blockchain) to one, instead of regular multisig where all signatures have to be provided separately.
