There are quite a few places in Asia that I want to see (mostly in Japan) but Singapore is definitely on the list.
Singapore is my favorite city in the world
Clean, beautiful, green and safe
Makes you realize what a shit place European cities are
I definitely get what you mean. I'm a small town guy from rural Pennsylvania so I get a pretty decent picture of how bad western cities are any time I visit a big city in the States.

I would recommend:
- cloud forest
- gardens by the bay light show at 8 or 9pm
- book a free visit for green oasis and sky garden
- go to Maxwell hawker center and eat insane food
- go to Green Heart in the financial district
