Hmm. I remember part of that I guess. I took away my laser eyes around the same time but that was mostly because no one at Nostrica knew who I was with my old avatar.
It’s a push that comes up occasionally, even before nostr. It came up on Twitter from time to time too. Pseudonyms and anon pfps are supposedly the boogie man that keeps nostr and bitcoin from achieving mainstream success
Sure, blame me that nostr isn't a household word.
The only people pushing for no nyms are spooks.
I could share a screenshot of at least one prominent nostr user who was pushing for it who actually did dox his photo at the time and now is preaching the value of anonymity
