in case u didn’t know - grapefruits are in season - it might be my favorite food.

for many people grapefruit is the first bitter food we remember liking.

i used to sit on the counter and eat grapefruits with my g’ma.

it’s definitely my first food memory, and it might be my first memory.

I remember my grandfather preparing grapefruit for my grandmother. They had a special curved serrated knife to cut the edible part from the skin and pith.

He'd serve the grapefruit in the skin with sugar sprinkled over the top.
