Thank you! The desktop Kindle app doesn't make a difference. I need a pdf version of the book and I doubt it's available at the library you are sharing but I will check.

Unfortunately, spending half an hour on #3 gets me optimistic that this may be the solution yet depressed because it is beyond my technical comprehension.

There are a few guides on YouTube for Calibre, I'm sure. It's been around for a very long time.

As for Anna's library, you don't know until you try searching, they have 38 million books. I would also suggest trying Google Books / Google Scholar because if it's a university text, they'll have it, probably.
