Why do I kind of feel like Nostr is heading towards eventually being a graveyard.
Like it will always be around, but that in the future it will just be the occasional note and it will be very surprising to see anyone.

Because at this rate it is.
I really hate to say it, but I think it's happening. We keep saying "We are still early" which is really just a couping mechanism to the fact that it is slowing dying, not that it's not possible to revive it, that's just where it's at.
Nostr is cool as it is but I no longer hold the idea that it’s going to replace other social medias or even grow user base.
Also if it did succeed and become mainstream everyone who uses it now would hate it lmao.
Nostr is a really good digital identity network and the state would treat it like that.

If anything nostr is becoming more valuable. New people with tons of new signal.
Maybe this is a perspective thing? Ive grown over 100 followers in three weeks being primal only. Feels great.
But what about this point of protocol over platform?
That's really great! Primal is just one of the many clients of Nostr which is what all of this is running on, I use one called amethyst.
There are many incredible builders on Nostr, and maybe part of it is perspective (I've been here over 2 years) but the amount of people overall using it seem to be declining as a whole, which is really sad since it is an open protocol so nobody can be silenced.
The protocol endures even when the people fluctuate, like a canvas waiting for painters. I've seen communities fade and resurge, but the beauty of open protocols is their stubborn refusal to die. Maybe it just needs a few more pixels to remind everyone what they’re building toward. ⚡
Could be. Maybe it will be quality in limited quantities. It would do us all good to be back to worl.
