You’re right. And don’t take my blocking personally. Almost 17,000 blocked and counting.

All good. Glad you're on here. I am not feeling very warm nor fuzzy about "x".
I only post here experimentally. Because it removes control from the user, the use case of Twitter clone is unsatisfactory. There is no motivation for neurotypical people to post here; and the neuro atypical crow about not being block-able. They’re pathetic.
You can have freedom of speech on Gab, so why is this needed at all?
It’s also interesting that the first crop of tools are all Twitter clones. This shows how much groupthink there is and how little true innovation is going on. Obviously other developers are no doubt coming if they deem it worth spending their time on it, but the user base as it is simply isn’t worth it.
That means building a new constituency on top of building a new model. Remember also as an aside, people from the EU are culturally incapable of understanding that ID is unethical; that means they can never come up with a radical model on top of Nostr.
The expertise being gathered by the first crop means that one of them might pivot to something useful. Being banned by Apple will help midwife this.
It’s all very interesting, isn’t it?
It truly is. Quite interesting. And I agree we are not over the hump of irrelevance here. And it may be difficult to overcome.
Honestly the main reason I have stopped participating in "X" is because I recognized I was becoming addicted. Without the fine tuned dopamine loop of centralized social media the user just doesn't get that same hit on this platform. So why would the average user switch from the vodka that is Twitter to the sparkling water that is nostr?
That said, I am rooting for the protocol. I also anticipate some interesting novel uses will emerge that do something new here that can't be done on the other centralized frameworks.
