Iβd like to see the quantum-proofing plans ramp up. Not out of fear. Think it will divert wasted focus on price, macro, treasury companies bullshit.. and give the community a proper crack at working collaboratively toward something that matters

I would question your assumption that it does indeed matter.
Question away.. youβre suggesting itβs a non-issue?
Yes, the entire formalism of QM is falsified *IF* time is quantized and discrete. All models assume continuous time.
So unless you have concrete proof that time is continuous, then the entire threat model remains an assumption without proof.
I point that Bitcoin is the proof that time is quantized and discrete. Bitcoin only functions because time is discrete, irreversible, and bounded. If time were continuous, there could be no blocks, no finality, no verification, no conserved history. The system literally cannot work under a continuous-time ontology. A block has no form in a continuous model. The network itself computes its own time providing us an object of time.
So is QM a threat to Bitcoin, or is Bitcoin a threat to QM?
Holy shit. Lost me in the first sentence π
My position would be, unless we can say quantum is 100% no threat to Bitcoin, it needs to be deeply investigated and addressed.
Would be nice to say to the FUDers that Bitcoin is safe π compared to everything else that quantum will destroy.
