Can someone tell me what went wrong? Can we not copy and paste to our posts?

I came across someone’s bio, I thought it was cool, so I copied his bio and posed it into a post along with tagging him and tying out “= facts”. But when it posted, all that posted was his name and the part I actually wrote out “= facts”. 🤨🤔🧐

I never had that issue in any client I used.

🙁🤷‍♀️

Also this happened today…

I was welcoming nostr:npub1xw7h0efeg5s8gla2uyu55jh4lfrlgppcjemrwkmdc7lgvhkcz3fqpvumsa & nostr:npub1dcgppk89h9flnffrznvhhj2vt9a0ym23ht5gk07l9j8m6l5k95qsze06js, but instead of tagging Gabriel (in my draft it showed him tagged) it juts posted his npub

🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

It feels a lot like a relay thing.

Have you added a new one recently?

Don’t have more than 15. I find it good using around 10 relays

I have 11 💜 and have not added any new ones 🤷‍♀️

Sorry Duchess, I’m not that smart.

Same lol 😅🤷‍♀️💋

Sometimes this happens if you copy paste the npub itself. You have to manually add the @ in front. Also careful you put a space and not punctuation or whatever at the end of the npub because that'll break it as well.

Oh good to know! Thanks

It might be related to styling or a table cell kind of thing. next time paste it to notepad, copy again and paste to nostr or wherever you want to post. this will remove the styling or other formatting.

I was thinking the same thing 👌 but I did a test and just pasted directly to my post (not in notes 1st) without tagging and it worked.

I tagged Moss 1st and THEN pasted the text.

I saw my text turned purple and I thought it was odd, but wanted to see how it would post. So I posted it and sure enough it excluded all of the text I had pasted.

So I guess it happened because I tagged him 1st and then posted the text in front of the tag. 🤷‍♀️
