- Elon Musk, owner of SpaceX and Tesla, has described USAID as “a nest of radical Marxists who hate the United States” and has promised its definitive closure. He has also accused the agency, without presenting evidence, of being involved in covert CIA activities and of having funded alleged research on biological weapons, including COVID-19.
