My take: men in power were always villains, they just convinced everyone otherwise to gain power.

Yes. Power doesn't corrupt, power reveals what's already there.

Freedom through responsibility & ultimately power is the only way.

🫂

Reminded me of a chapter in the Dao de Jing :

I seek power over my own domain & gladly accept the responsibilty that comes with that.

I do not desire the responsibilty that comes with having power over others but I'll reluctantly accept that responsibilty if called upon.

We shouldn't shirk power just because we hate tyranny. We should also be wary of those who seek to absolve us of our responsibilties.

Power just reveals the kind of leader that person is, it does not ahape them.

I would have zapped that if you had a lightning address in your profile.

I stopped when WoS stopped working in the us. But I appreciate the sentiments.

Set up a rizful.com address.

Same tradeoffs & ease of use as WoS.

I think instead of accepting power over others when called upon, we should be radically intolerant of people who fail to be self sovereign. We shouldn't need leaders. Needing leaders comes from people not being the best version of themselves. If a leader embraces leadership but doesn't make himself unnecessary, that's like a doctor keeping his patient dependent on medications long-term instead of simply healing the patient.

Someone needs to go first. We need leaders or everyone would just sit around waiting for something to happen. Someone has to lead the hunt or nobody eats.

You don't need permission though. You can just do stuff. That's a leader. Whether people follow you or not is beside the point. A leader walks their own path at least some of the time. It's tiring to lead, it's much easier for those coming behind on a forged path. We need to take the lead sometimes to give others a bit of a rest. You don't have to follow but you can choose to.

I think you've got a limiting definition of power. That it was part of your conditioning & that it's probably not accidental. I think that because I used to have a limiting definition of power.

I think you refuse to be controlled & don't want to control others. You're a part of the group Paul Rosenburg called the Gammas. I know a lot of Bitcoiners who are also Gammas.

Gammas are the people I would prefer were powerful. The reluctant leaders. They knew how to shape their world to their preferences. Power isn't bestowed, it's your divine right, you just have to know it & take responsibilty for it. Bitcoin bestows power onto individuals. Power is not control.

I would prefer that people were empowered, that they realised their divine right. I see the act of disempowering someone as Evil.

We’re all leaders

We just don’t know it yet

We're so much more that we limit ourselves to be. 💚🫂

You see it in the bitcoin space.

I only see that in people trying to become community leaders or thought leaders or influencers.

I do not see this in the bitcoin space that I want tp be part of.

Okay, someone put me in power, I have some gru-like ideas. First the moon… 😈

And: most villains want to become men in power.

You people really need to Bushido of Bitcoin.

I always believed this trope but then it was pointed out to me that truly great leaders don’t look for fame or power because it comes so naturally to them.
