Anyone know how to download YouTube videos these days since Cobalt, PipePipe, NewPipe, and 9xbuddy all seem to be having difficulty with that right now 🤔.

I guess Alphabet (Google's Parent Company, which owns YouTube) has been changing a lot of stuff on their backend supposedly, making it harder to download certain types of youtube content.

Some content still works but not to the same degree.

Pipepipe installed via F-Droid seems to have problems. Pipepipe X installed via Obtanium plays for me. There also seem to be a fix for Pipepipe on Github - haven't tried.

Big fan of yt-dlp here.

I'm not a video-watching guy by nature, but when people send me links I use yt-dlp to grab them.

No ads, no buffering, and if the video turns out to be of lasting interest I can archive it easily.
