It’s crazy to think how different the costs are.

It really is. I imagine a whole lot of things affect things like that.
I have a dentist friend in Mexico City who charges almost the same for crowns as our lab cost for a crown. I couldn’t touch his prices. American dentists like to say that it’s because the work is inferior or dangerous/not sanitary. My friend has a nicer, more modern office than most US dentists I know and does beautiful dental work.
