I closed out the app completely, then loaded the wallet on a separate device to confim wallet state. Then closed out second device and waited five minutes. Opened first stuck app and hit delete everything. Then reloaded the first device with the seeds and everything works for now.
I was recovering from a forced close so not sure if delete everything would force close your channels.
