Mead is a great base for flavoring. I've flavored with tart cherry, cold coffee, habaneros. Good luck!

Tell you what though, I forgot that I needed some sort of yeast nutrient. I decided on tea but I only have green tea. Should I put some coffee?

Yes, I've used tea for a nutrient. Some people put raisons in. I did, with my first few batches, but then I bought some nutrients.

If you're wanting to make a coffee mead, put it in secondary fermentation. I make about a quart of cold brew and letting it steep in the refrigerator overnight.
