It's not exactly what you're looking for, but if downloading/uploading a reasonably-sized YT video is the issue, then this may help.

If you run an Android or de-googled phone, you can download the app 'NewPipe' from the 'F-Droid store'. NewPipe is a YT client, running videos without ads AND you can download videos easily in simple, also low-quality, MP4 format. Then you can upload that small-size version to your AI (otter?) to work work on it.

Good hint, by the way, I'll check 'otter' out 🙏

Good suggestions as I do have degoogled phone but haven't really used f-droid at all. This may be helpful but for other occasions. It's too much work for what I was imagining.

It was more videos I am curious about but really don't wanna spend an hour listening to and wanna just scan through and register the key points in my mind to see if it's worth to dive into any particular part.

What I learned about the other tool that was shared above is that it gives the whole transcript so it doesn't take it and summarize and consolidates as I'd ideally like it to, bring it into just the keypoints. But it does translate the transcript to my native language which has me excited to share with my mom who can now "watch"/read some videos I may wanna orange or carnivore pill her with hahahaha

Haha, yes, I'd like to translate many videos/podcasts for my family, too, especially spiritual and bitcoin content ... It's just always a step ahead in English. So, good thinking with these AI tools.

Use F-Droid app store ... only open-source ad-free apps, nicely curated and kept up to date.
