Okay I found out today that Damus ( which I use) is just a client. This is so cool. So the social media actually running at the background is a protocol called Nostr and not app.
Also me not being able to delete my posts is a limitation of Damus and not a feature of the underlying protocol.
This is all so cool.
I wonder if #[0] ‘s Bluesky is also a client off the back of Nostr or a whole new app of its own.
Love this!
It’s a different app and protocol

If Bluesky uses different protocol, will it implement Nostr protocol later on? Just wondering on how to federate messages across these different apps / protocol clients.
Ha cheers Jack. Can’t wait to explore that too.
