All #AI development should be open source. This is the only way it will end up benefitting humanity as a whole instead of just the overlords.

It's also the morally correct choice. How many artists, writers, programmers, ect have had their work scanned into some AI model so that it can steal their style and skills without even giving them credit. To take such a system and then make it proprietary or program it to only support your world view is extremely immoral imo.
