Private transactions are a necessity for freedom and safety. Smart Bitcoiners are already realize that.

Over time, many will also realize that storing your life savings on a public ledger with no fungibility is a really dumb idea and a private store of value will flip BTC.

Will it be Monero? I dont know. Will Bitcoiners realize it soon enough so that BTC will get private transactions? I hope that but i do not bet on it.

Will people want to hide their wealth from criminals, the state and their ex partners? One hundred percent.

don't hold your breath. bitcoiners are so stupid and off track that they can't do privacy anymore without sacrificing self-custody, and no matter what they try to come up with, the DNMs won't touch it anyway.
