I didn't know if it was a part of a general marketing goal to build a culture around boosting for your content in your following or some other goal.
I haven't used it yet but it's mainly just to encourage other users to boost your content to their following for a share of the rewards of that post right? I would think this would get bot attacked fairly quickly though where users create fake npubs and just boost to share the rewards of prominent creators early in the first 25. Have you noticed anything like that yet?
from what I've seen so far is it is being used to spam. people wouldnt be "boosting" it if it wasn't to get paid. from what I've seen, it's just spam. $boost
#smij doesn't boost to get sats, sell outs do that.
smij zaps, boosts & quotes good/useful/enjoyabe content.
