Yeah, perhaps I read too much into it. Because to me, every time somebody talks about how horrible sound money is, and they bring up that people wouldn't spend, it makes it sound like they would never purchase another discretionary item again if they could possibly help it.

Like, as an example, on a sound money standard, Taylor Swift concerts wouldn't exist because why the fuck would you go to a Taylor Swift concert instead of saving your money?

And yes, I have been to a Taylor Swift concert, and I enjoyed it so much that what I paid for it was totally worth it. And I have no regrets about going. Knowing how much fun I had, I would absolutely go even if we did have a hard money standard.

I can't speak to the enjoyability of Taylor Swift concerts

but I would certainly spend money on a hard money standard simply because I enjoy life and am not only interested in accumulating more wealth

But the point is that in the under deflationary conditions, spending slows.

It's obvious with bitcoiners even right now.
