I would never trade. That goes without saying. But do you think a lot of (powerful/smart?) people are making money by trading the volatility ATM? #asknostr

Well some fucker is. The last hour has been๐Ÿ˜ณ.

I suspect it's mainly whales who can sell off a significant number at a time, hoping that more will, in a bit of a panic, then they just hoover them all up again on the cheap. It happens every bull market but this is the first time I've really seen it during this current one!

Hedge fund kinda thing?

Not particularly, no. Private individuals with big bags. I might be wrong though, this kind of thing is always up for debate. I'm like you, I don't trade, it's just things that I've read about moves like this in the market, over the past few years.

Yeah i have no idea tbh. Fun to speculate tho lol

Of course. Volatility is great for trading.

The majority of people lose money trying to trade, it takes years to learn and you never really stop learning. I lost money for years trading until I found a strategy that works for me. Spot only, long-term plays.

Others trade with leverage where you can make a lot more a lot faster, but you can lose a lot more a lot faster too. So I stay away from that, personally.

Ultimately it's a big game of patience IMO.

Agree totally ๐Ÿ’ฏ
