Why is Fidelity a Privately held company?

They never went public or even considered it from what I know.

This answer may also give good insight as to why they self-custody BTC & won’t trust any third party to hold their keys.

So much fuckin time, energy and capital spent on going public.

Compliance, audits, legal fees. All come out of the profits to shareholders.

Private equity is the way

Yes but the wealth generated for the executives would be significant. The Johnson family is based af.

They are in the markets but don’t trust the markets at all.
