Damus, you have to upload the image to an image service like imgur and copy the url, there is no other way at the moment.
I’m using arweave for that atm. What do you guys use?

The rest of the services maintain the metadata and that is bad.
I only use nostr.build because it's simple and works perfectly from my phone too.
@jb55 It could be cool if the damus app could allow you to upload images directly from your camera roll to a custom file upload provider and smack the output url into the post

The solution on Android: Install Kiwi browser, install nos2x, import your privkey and finally access to Anigma, Astral, Yosu or whatever you want to login from extension. Writting this from Astral using no2x installed on Kiwi browser in my Android....
I just simply use Astral.ninja from my phone browser.
Did you type your privkey in astral directly? Oh, that is reckless...
