What kind of tree is this? The fruit it about the size of a golf ball. It seems to grow wild on my property in Missouri.

I think that’s a peach tree

Is that not a persimmon? Hard to tell when I zoom in but it sure looks a North American persimmon.
Don’t eat until soft or your mouth will be mad at you for about an hour or so. Lolol
But a definitive way to know it’s a native persimmon would be to just touch the tip of your tongue to some unripe flesh… it’ll be super astringent and make the area of your tongue feel really dry.
Yea looks like persimmon.
As it gets colder they get sweeter, softer and less astringent
