With or without von?

I have no idea what a "von" is. Looool!

I mean can somebody figure out your location through Nostr? Because if there is a possibility that your location is trackable through Nostr then anonymity is valueless.

You can have an anonymous account on Twitter too.

That's why I'm asking.

When you deal with governments it's not about being anonymous, it's about being un-trackable. That's the most important thing I think.

VPN. Sorry spell check.

If they have your IP address, they can track Your internet service provider. And of course your name and address.

Very.

Your IP address is visible to relay operators. Using a VPN can help mitigate that. (But VPNs do not allow anonymity). If you want anonymity use Tor.

Notes are public (so avoid posting anything that might compromise your privacy)

DMs metadata are public. So everyone knows who you are talking to and when.

And also, generally, anyone with the right type of resources can track you. If you are taking the right measures you are making the exercise more expensive for them.

Making tyranny very expensive.

You can make it more expensive by being anonymous, but you can end it by putting your name to your words and encouraging others to do so. Yes, it’s a risk, but only when enough people step out of the shadows does the tyrant realizes he is badly outnumbered.
