I think thats the point. As a moderate conservative (that stupidly voted Obama), I don’t love the way it’s framed BUT the point is that tariffs are a tool to gain leverage on someone with an advantage over you. Not good, not bad. Just a tool.

I’ll wager anyone that in 1 year, we are in a more fair trade position after these negotiations play out.
