Remember this when you use the term "Trickle Down Economics" and Free Market.

Walmart is increasing pay for its regional store managers, allowing them to earn over $600,000 annually. This change comes as the retail giant shifts priorities and reduces perks for office-based staff, including ending remote work and cutting some pay. The moves reflect the competition for mid-level management roles in retail and the importance of store managers in Walmart's success. The company employs around 440 market managers in the U.S. who oversee around 4,600 stores. The changes aim to keep turnover low and attract top talent. Some office staff will also experience less generous healthcare coverage next year.

Almost nobody uses that term.

If there are huge regulatory barriers preventing competition then employees will have to fight eachother for jobs. Any kind of "trickle down" effect only occurs when regulatory barriers are lowered and when new jobs are fighting for employees.
