Oh also wouldn’t it be nice to give the CCP all the power to literally be able to turn you remotely off with a click. Can’t travel (no taxis buses or airplanes), can’t buy anything from anywhere, can only use cash although not sure how you’ll get that with your bank account donzo (i.e. frozen at best, probably emptied). All in the name of your safety and security and will give you time to learn the rules properly.

Not just the CCP, but in the West, too. We've already seen turning bank accounts off for protesting or supporting protestors in Canada, Paypal debanking people for speech in the US, and vaccine passports for in-person exchange goods and services.

The West used to point to the CCP's totalitarian policies in condemnation. Turns out, they were just saying "Hey, look over there!" While taking good notes.

CBDC and Govt issued wallets will serve the same purpose as this chip.
