If you are using a set of relays, the users connected to it will see your activity and content. Depending on the client you are using, reading and writing can be enabled.

Thanks for the answer. So it makes no sense to have relays in the list for which i did not signed-up for(paid for) ?

Yes, that's a valid stance. But if you need to keep up with the "public" you will need to be connected to public relays as well. The downside of public relays is the spam amount. You need to balance this yourself.
