Maybe I’ve been too hard on Apple. It turns out what I wanted from the iPhone 14 was *exactly* an iPhone 12 with a better camera.

I’ve gone from snarky user to questioning if they’re geniuses in one realization.

Depends on what you want. Compared to Pixel 7 Pro, more natural coloring, less over processed appearance, astounding zoom (on pro model) and cinematic video (which I thought would be bs) turns out to be really good.

For sheer clarity, no major improvement except at 4x or greater zoom. I think the better optics vs AI upscale shows itself there.

For color balance - no competition.

I'm on 13 pro max, the battery life is excellent (18 month on 'clock' and battery life capacity 91%). Not going back to android as I'm deep in Apple's ecosystem now.

I’m a very heterogenous office here. Mac, Windows 11, and Fedora Linux.

It turned out everything I use my phone for is usually paired with a Mac though! 🤷‍♂️

I have mega and Google photos to get pics elsewhere if needed.
