JUST IN: Bondo, a cluster of villages in a remote region of Malawi 🇲🇼, is supplied with electricity ⚡️for the first time thanks to Bitcoin mining.
3 micro-hydro turbines were installed, taking advantage of the region’s rainfall to supply 1,800 homes with their own mini-grid.
It’s stuff like this that just creates hope. Would love to see more stories of this kind happening all over
