India to introduce 20% tax on remittances

Sending money abroad is about to pinch more after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman proposed to collect tax at source at 20%, under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS) of the RBI, without the applicability of any threshold limit.
