Does it say if they used 'the purple' as a psychedelic? Some Greek Classicists claim this and some of this substance has even been found in England at a Roman Bath and is being analyzed. Need to check up in what came of that. Greeks and Hellenised Roman's were very much using Psychedelics.

the historians mostly pretend that it didn't happen but both the chinese were going to the americas at aleast back around 1400s and there were definitely trade routes across the mid atlantic ridge that became a major trade route with the portuguese, a LONG time ago, because you literally can sail across there in a ship as small as 30 foot sloop, takes about 3 weeks, knowing the locations of the islands along teh path can help do it more safely if you encounter bad weather
