Can someone explain why so many Bitcoiners are cheering for Milei?

Are we trusting now politicians just because they claim to be ancap?

It's probably more about cheering the change that's happening

I'm not sure if it will really be a change. More likely the same boot in a different color

We'll have to wait and see, I guess.

Yeah sure, there is nothing we can do else 😅

First, his casual yet wild shag haircut. Second, he’s shutting down the central bank.

Hairstyle is almost like Boris Johnson's. They probably have the same hairdresser 😂

He wants to close his own central bank, adopt the dollar and then be dependent on the Fed. I don't know if that's such a good idea 🤔

There is only one solution. Bald politicians.

😂

Because he is for open payments and sound money.

Sound Money Politics differ fundamentally from Fiat Politics and makes a free market with less political influence.

I guess the cheering is for tearing down walls of old, not necessary for the new system he builds.

Let's give some time before we judge, as always we need to see what they do not what they say.

If I‘m not wrong, he wants a gold standard, right?

He does not seem to be pro Bitcoin. Maybe he will understand but tbh for me it’s hard to trust politicians. They are just puppets and you can easily corrupt them.

Abolishing legal tender laws is the most Bitcoin thing any politician can do

I agree but do you think he can achieve what he says without getting dependent from the US?

He is also partnered with WEF.

A lot of red flags here

Dolar > Pesos, I say if the Argentinians fare better when he dollarized then that is a good step in the right directions, they will be free to decide to allocate their wealth then into the superior asset/money.

The WEF affiliation is interesting but I do not worry, as people have a distored view on what the WEF actually is.

He has spoken many times about it

We’ll see in the future

- He understands economics (Austrian)

- He is a sound money advocate

- He is a free market advocate

- He calls central banks a scam and wants to shit it down

- He wants to reduce the government as much as possible

How is that not an improvement to status quo (socialism)?

I read this 5 times and it still doesn't make sense.

Why does it not make sense in your perspective?

It's just astonishing (and encouraging) to see that someone who understands central banking and basic economics to have won a major election.

I’ll cheer if he actually abolishes the central bank

At least already abolished like 300+ regulations
