This trend toward asking for tips for every random thing is a way for corporations to externalize their costs. Instead of giving raises, and raising their prices to reflect the actual costs of doing business, they’re literally turning their employees into beggars depending on the charity of customers.

Hell no.

Pay people what they deserve. It’s not my job as a customer to be guilted into adding 20% to my costs for non-service-related things.

I tip really well at all the things that you’d traditionally tip. You want to be my waiter, or delivery driver, or barber. I’ve got your back.

I won’t be guilted into tipping at fast food restaurants, or the corporate oil change place, or the automated coffee robot, or the cashier at a convenience store.
