The UK is trying to once again one up america with the latest immigration reforms that make it nearly impossible for most Brits to bring their spouse to the UK. Xenophobia just keeps getting worse.

I guess the idea was developed by women to keep their men, there is a shortage I suppose.

Dunno how you came to that conclusion. The pay gap means it’s easier for British men to bring a spouse over than for a British woman.
I didn’t read the Article, I have developed the idea while living there.
