My life long friends mother passed away from alzheimer's last night.
Reminded me of myDads passing back in June last year.
Our parents were good friends and we used to go on holiday together as kids, even going to Disneyworld one year.
It's sad, but a blessing.

Alzheimer's is hell. Condolences to you and your friend for your loss.
It is.
My Dad had it for the last few years of his life. The last two, he couldn't talk, the last two weeks before he died, he no longer recognised me (i.e. he didn't smile when he saw me, which he always did.)
