abandoned

to the bush — creeps in

the light

thanks for posting these nostr:npub1th6p84x9u5p4lagglkvm8zepa2dq4s9eanp57vcj4w5652kafads7m930q - this one was difficult. if i come up with something better while i'm asleep tonight, i'll come back to it. is that a dumpster in the foreground? i was tempted to use it as such but i'm not sure so i didn't.

I really like this Haiku. It feels totally on point to me. The whole area was kind of on a shadow basin created by the hills and the tall buildings around and it was late afternoon so the light was cutting across the tops of taller things (like the pagoda) rather than beaming down. “Creeps in - the light” really hits me because while you can’t really see it in this photo there is large hole in the roof of the pagoda which would surely give a “creeping” light effect inside throughout the day. And yes, that is a heavily graffitied dumpster in the foreground. ⚡️🤙🏿💜🧡

This was a bit of surreal and haunting place. I would see the top of the pagoda from the Pali Hwy and so one day opened google and took an uber to an area that seemed “near” the pagoda. I would up in front of a condo building which had a very well appointed Japanese cemetery across from it and this pagoda was down a little side trail around the cemetery. I learned that it is called the Sanju Pagoda.

perfect then. I was really drawn to the light. I was tempted to do something about the sky and sliding down the pagoda roof and the life but it didn't happen.

thanks for the description! it looks like a mysterious place.
