My main goal is to get them curious about bitcoin, they use Calendly as one of their ways for accepting payments (PayPal) and scheduling appointments. They could switch to cal.com and still receive payments through PayPal put also receive sats using Alby, at no extra cost.
Correct me if im wrong, but I don't see harm being done, but I do see big benefits if the business ends up adopting bitcoin. Cheers!
all that is fair but why not just convince them making the move... without needing to make other people pretend they are interested in the service and paying with bitcoin so they make the move? what happens if you explain to them that you asked people on nostr to message them and offered zaps for that in exchange? how will they see you? maybe in that answer is the point im trying to make...

All fair points. I can't really "spam" like crazy since I'm limited to the amount of bitcoin I'm willing to zap, I can't just print it like a shitcoin, and I'm also limited to the amount of people even interested in sending a message.
I am convincing them as well.
What I'm doing is more of a double publicity thing, those who send a message might actually feel compelled to hire the service. On the other hand, the business secretary and owner may feel compelled to study this bitcoin thing everyone is suddenly asking about.
I get along well with the whole team, so if they found out I offered zaps to people to message them, I wouldn't be too worried.
I'm no marketing genius and I'm just experimenting, so this could all just be a waste of time and sats. I don't see the shitcoining, since it's all bitcoin only, the secretary receiving messages is doing his job at the end of the day, those messaging might actually find what we do interesting + they receive 100 sats and the business may get more curious about btc than it already is. But that's my take.
