Good luck

You will have to cut through decades or frankly centuries of left-wing social-statist propaganda.

From Plato to Augustine to Kant, Hegel & Marx, the socialist delusion found fertile soil in central Europe.

In my opinion, the NSDAP embrace a Platonist conflict-based ideology centered around superiority and dominance - what Nietzsche called master morality. After the war, I believe the Germans were indoctrinated with a Platonist conflict-based ideology of moral inferiority and submission - Nietzsche's slave morality. I believe what is needed instead is an ethics of vitality & flourishing, especially via trade & cooperation.

I don't know how widely these works are available in German but I strongly recommend:

Aristotle - Nichomachean Ethics (virtue ethics; the virtuous man strives to improve himself, not to sacrifice himself for the group)

Bastiat - The Law (liberalism; the law must serve all)

Leonard Peikoff - The Cause of Hitler's Germany (individual reason; its discredit as a major factor in the rise of 3R)

Hans-Adam II of Liechtenstein - The State in the Third Millennium (arguing for the transition of modern nation-states into peaceful service companies)

Richard Dawkins - The Selfish Gene (arguing that genetic self-interest operates as the level of genes, not individuals or races, thus producing cooperative individuals; but ignore his baseless pleas for post-theist Christian slave morality.)

And I agree that a special study should be made of Austrian-school economics, such as Hans Hoppe, Mises, Rothbard and others.

Taken together, I believe these works rebut not only the philosophy and ethics of NSDAP, but also of the modern pseudo-liberals who are of course left-wing rather than genuinely liberal in the sense of Mises.
