You might want to try using 0xchat for nostr DMs. Its a nostr app that handles DMs better than the other clients apparently... Let me know if that helps?

yess i saw your relay the other day and downloaded it, just haven’t had a chance to sit and get it going yet! i will tonight though 🤞🏼
