Finally - a message besides big chested women in tight t-shirts

In my opinion, hiragana (さとし) is better than katakana (γ‚΅γƒˆγ‚·)

opsec wise tho there's maybe less people that can read katakana compared to hiragana? haha

You think?

Most people who know how to read one also know how to read the other. At least that's the case for me after so many years.

Kanji is the hard shit to learn.

There are DEFINITELY fewer people who can read kanji. My kanji level is like a 2nd grader or something like that.

bah I was just playing.. you're probably right.

yeah kanji is a little wild. I'm prob still on grade one on that front.

luckily, I just want to learn to speak it and don't care about reading as much.

though I know still useful

Indeed, speaking and listening to Japanese is way more fun (and easier) than reading or writing it for me.

That's so interesting because it's not like that with my current Spanish practice. Speaking and listening are more challenging, and having the freedom to slow down and read words is necessary for my current level.
