This made me think of, ‘Be more concerned with your character than with your reputation, for your character is what you are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.’ (Dale Carnegie)

In online settings it’s all about reputation and it can be difficult to assess character. Its not impossible though, if you follow over a long enough time horizon. True colors shine through.
