Probably nobody cares about this topic and absolutely nobody has an opinion on it, but how should we do Biblical notation?

[[Gen 1:1]] leads to

Book of Genesis, chapter 1, verse 1

??

+[John 1–3; 3:16; 6:14, 44]+

Or we use crosses?

Do we ask for a certain translation like

+[KJV ~ Gen 1:1]+

Or something?

What sort tags does each verse need?

🤔

Also, it might be helpful to look over OSIS. This is a Bible & related text encoding standard that is gaining cross-platform traction:

They include a lot of obscure stuff, but some of it is interesting. Like "canonical".
